Where are you Doctor...?!

Hope you read my post about our Sri Kalahasthi visit....! That was on 1st and 2nd of this month....
Then on the following week, one day we went on
to meet the doctor for a regular check up for my wife (hope you understand..). That day I just wanted to check my BP also . . . Surprisingly it was a dead cat bounce...!! Once again it has gone up to 140/100 !!!
As the doctor is a known lady to us, she suggested an immediate consultation with a physician!!!
So we have traveled again to Trivandrum that weekend and had a consultation with a physician in the Fort SP Hospital there... The BP was the same then too... They prescribed couple of tests including ECG and test for Cholesterol ...
I have had a little cholesterol (204) than the normal level (Its really unvelievable for a thin man like me... ) So now there is a ban for me to eat meat except fish (That too unfried...)
My really worry is why I am getting all these... Because I am a clean slate ... I dont have a gad habits... Then we went out to a part there in the evening ...

You can see above my son really enjoying his day out . . .!
What else to come..? let us see . . !

Hi Jey!

Sounds like you and your family had a very nice trip to the temple. I enjoyed very much the stories!

Sorry to hear you are still battling hypertension, and now, hypercholesterolemia. Often, these two go hand in hand, so I'm not really all that surprised.

OK, time for your friend Dr. Mickie to give you some unsolicited advice!!! Since you are a thin man without bad habits, and I assume you have regular exercise, one must surmise that your health issues are hereditary in nature, and thus unpreventable. But they can be managed. You will soon need to be taking several medications. A diuretic, such as Hydrochlorothiazide, or Lasix, an anti-hyptertensive agent, such as Altace, Diovan, or Hyzaar, and an anti-lipidemic, such as Lipitor, Zocor, or Crestor. Those are all American trade names, so your medicatoins may have different names. These three types of meds, when combined together, prevent the majority of cardiac complications later in life. It's a good thing that you have caught this early, and can intervene and make a difference.
Also, watch out how much salt you eat in your diet, as salt directly increases blood pressure, by increasing the osmotic pressure in the blood vessel thus drawing excess fluid from the tissue into the blood vessel.

Hope this information helps you. Please take care of yourself - your family needs you!!!!

Love,
Mickie
